48 Hours....

So, Sophie Catherine is coming to a hospital nursery near you on Friday Morning at 7:45

It turns out she doesn't want to cooperate and come out naturally, so this morning we were presented with our options; the ball was put in our court and we opted a scheduled C-section was best for Sally and Sophie.....and a nervous dad to be.
We covet your prayers for Friday Morning, and I'll do my best to keep everyone in the loop!

A Steel Toed Reality Kick to the Noggin

Friday's 7am ultrasound

And Sally's 9 am appointment with Dr. Cowan

solidified what we knew to be True.....There is a GIANT BABY IN THERE! Everyone's assurances that Sally was just carrying a lot of fluid (am I the only one that throws up in their mouth a little when they say that?) we're wrong. At 36 weeks, baby girl weighs 7.3 pounds. So, what does that mean? Other than the fact she could play outside linebacker for the Cowboys,
Sophie Catherine is coming earlier than expected! Sally has an appointment on the 12th, the 19th and Christmas Eve. If Sophie hasn't headed down the birth canal Slip and Slide by then, Dr. Cowan will schedule Sally for a C-Section before the end of the year (TAX BREAK!). If she was to go full term, gaining a half pound a week, she would come out ready to take over Tokyo, so Dr. Cowan wants to retrieve her a little early.
So, please keep praying for momma, baby and God's timing for Sophie to come into this world.
